The Birchwood, a boutique hotel, listed in the National Registry of Historic Places, is opening this spring on the reimagined site of the former Grayl’s Hotel in St. Petersburg, FL. The much-anticipated opening brings a brand new ballroom to downtown with views of Straub Park and Tampa Bay. The Birchwood will also add to the social, culinary appeal of trendy Beach Drive with their Birch & Vine restaurant and rooftop lounge. The hotel’s 18 guest rooms feature four poster beds, soaking tubs and arched vaulted ceilings. Out-of-town guests will be impressed by what’s within walking distance including hundreds of eclectic shopping and dining options, Rays baseball, the Dali Museum, Chihuly Collection, art galleries, waterfront parks and even Segway tours of downtown. On-site parking is limited, so you might want to check into renting an authentic downtown trolley to transport guests between The Birchwood and off-site parking.
