Washington, DC

Sequoia is the quintessential Washington, DC dining experience. Between it’s Georgetown waterfront location and its views of the Kennedy Center and Arlington it has always been a go-to place to take out of town guests. Lucky for all of us, we can also share this experience with our wedding guests by utilizing Sequoia’s event space or the main level restaurant. A huge advantage is that both of event spaces have outdoor space available to them so your guests can enjoy the awesome views from Sequoia.

Event Space Details:

One option at Sequoia is their private event space: The State Room and Terrace. This is a completely private room with floor to ceiling windows, a private outdoor patio and a bar built into the space. This room provides views of the Watergate, the Kennedy Center, the Potomac River and the Virginia Skyline. This room will seat up to 100 with a dance floor

The main dining room can accomodate between 100-265 with space for dancing. This capacity number includes some seating for guests on the Mezzanine level overlooking the main room. The  main floor alone can hold up to 215 guests with space for a dance floor.

Existing Decor:

The main dining room has wood floors and white walls, the windows on the waterfront side of the room are floor to ceiling and feature blue and clear glass hanging art from the ceiling. The photographs featured in the post have very different color schemes and you can see multiple color combos work well in the restaurant.

Hotels for room blocks: Georgetown Suites, Four Seasons, Monticello and The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown (all within walking distance)

Rehearsal dinner/brunch locations: House of Sweden, Dumbarton House,  Bourbon Steak,  or for something casual Chadwick’s

Off-site ceremony options: Grace Episcopal Church, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and Tudor Place
