St. John USVI Honeymoons, St. John Villa for Destination Weddings
Back again from St. John in the US Virgin Islands. We’ve visited St. John about 8 times in the last 10 years. St. John feels like a home away from home for us… but even with so many repeated trips we find something different to do and see every time. This time we grabbed sandwiches to-go from Baked in the Sun (delicious), checked out ZoZo’s new location at Caneel Bay and finally saw the Petroglyphs in person.
There are a few activities in St. John we do again and again… Painkillers at the Beach Bar…dinner at Rhumblines… renting a dingy to check out Waterlemon and other spots via water, and shopping in Mongoose Junction.
We’ve stayed at various places on the island and have found different St. John resorts to be best for different needs. The Westin St. John is great for families… a fun pool scene for everyone, Caneel Bay for honeymoons in St. John because it’s quiet, romantic and high-end… recently we have found our favorite spot to be the condos at Grande Bay because of their perfect location close to the best restaurants and can walk out to the water in front of the building to grab our boat for the day. If you have a large group, there are quite a few amazing villas that can be rented by the week.
On this particular trip we had friends that rented Villa Carlota in Upper Peter Bay Estate on St. John. With permission from the owner and/or management company, this villa would be a great place for a small wedding. Words cannot describe the beauty of this place, so I will let the photos speak for themselves:
